Are you wondering where the biggest pumpkin patch is? It is in Wheatland, California! The Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm has been designated as the largest in America! The farm offers nearly 50 attractions to keep you entertained for hours. Admission is free, but some of the attractions require tickets to enter. The farm offers traditional pumpkin patch areas like corn mazes, hay rides, and of course pumpkins! There are also ziplines, train rides, and even a petting zoo. While you are there you can grab some great food from one of the five options at the farm.

Pumpkin Capital of America

Did you even know there was a pumpkin capital right here in America? Well there is and it is in Floydada, Texas. The town is located near Lubbock, Texas and produces over 2,000 pounds of pumpkins annually. The town holds a huge festival each October. It is called “Punkin’ Days.” One of the farms in the town is Aster Punkin Ranch. The founder is known for being the original punkin’ man. Other than the pumpkin patch they have a mini petting zoo, which includes: big horses, mini horses, big donkeys, mini donkeys, big dogs, little puppies, big goats, baby goats, and a cat. The town even also holds an annual Trunk or Treat event for the families.

The Great Pumpkin Patch

Have you ever thought of how Linus felt waiting in the pumpkin patch all night long for the great pumpkin to appear? Well just south of Arthur, Illinois is The Great Pumpkin Patch, maybe you will get a glimpse of the great pumpkin there. The farm has over 300 varieties of pumpkins from all over the world that they grow right there on their farm. There are historical buildings located on the farm. Two old schoolhouses are among the buildings. One is left for visitors to see what school was like in 1912 and the other is a sweet shop. The restrooms are inside two repurposed grain bins. The farm has several animals, corn mazes, wagon rides and there is a bakery that is open all year long!

A Scary Pumpkin Patch

Are you looking for a little bit of fright this year? The Pumpkin Hollow in Piggot, Arkansas is just the place. The farm offers great activities. Kids can ride pedal tractors and a barrel train, take pony rides, feed farm animals, play at the pirate ship, and join in a pig scramble. There is also a huge corn maze as well as a smaller corn maze for children. At night everything changes! Horror in the Hollow opens with three scary options for those brave enough to enter! See how loud you can scream!

The World’s Largest Corn Maze

Do you need to get your steps in? If you travel to Spring Grove, Illinois you can walk the 9-10 miles of trails inside the World’s Largest Corn Maze! Richardson Farm has 28 acres of live corn, the large maze is actually made up from 4 different mazes. This year they are celebrating 30 years of Jurassic Park! There are different maze games that you can play. Some take 10 minutes, while others can take up to 2 hours to complete! The challenge is finding all of the checkpoints in order to solve the maze! The mazes do not have any dead ends, so getting lost is just part of the fun! And of course you can get your pumpkins while you are at the farm!
