Kitchen

Let’s begin by addressing the kitchen. We have so many items that we bring along to make our RV just like home, but how do we store them? Begin by prioritizing what you really need. Do you really need to have every size pot or pan? Think about your cooking needs. A great option for pots and pans is to get ones that will stack inside of each other with a removable handle.

Using shelf organizers that help you stack items in your cabinet can create more storage space and use dead space in a cabinet. As you create more space, continue to think about how items will shift as you drive to your next destination.

The kitchen cabinets can be organized using baskets made from a variety of elements. If you want to color coordinate it is a great idea to buy containers in a variety of sizes to meet your needs. Placing all of your canned goods in a plastic container can really lengthen the life of your cabinet shelves. Using containers made from cloth do offer more flexibility since they can conform to spaces more easily. For shelves that are open, using wire or wicker baskets that are more decorative will help give your RV a more pleasing look.

Open Roads

Open Roads is a discount fuel program open to anyone who purchases diesel fuel, whether it be a diesel pickup truck, RV, or a semi-truck.

Now let’s talk about the refrigerator! Using plastic containers inside of the fridge can really help keep everything together.

One great option for keeping your drinks organized are these great baskets from the Dollar Tree. They work really great in RV refrigerators! When placed in a traditional RV fridge, there is still space left for the vents to get plenty of air circulation.

What about your cooking spices? You can use a magnet strip to store spices. If you are thrifty, using tic tac containers for spices is a great way to use very little space. Placing spices in a drawer with circle labels works great, especially if you cannot decide which ones to let go of!

Bedroom

We all have different feelings about what clothes we need to keep inside our RV. If you are a true minimalist, then you should have no problem storing your clothes and shoes. As for the rest of us, we have to come up with creative ways to make sure we have everything we need!

Rolling your clothes is a great way to get more clothes into a small space. You can also use baskets to store items on shelves in your bedroom. Using space saving hangers helps to keep more of your clothes wrinkle free.

What about all of your shoes? We need shoes for all of the great activities that we plan on doing. Using an ottoman is a great way to store shoes (or blankets). There are shoe organizers that store shoes and can be hung up if you have the space. Another great solution is to use under the bed shoe storage.

Bathroom

The bathroom can be challenging as you begin to sort out and load your RV- just ask us! Using creative ways to store your important items will make traveling much more enjoyable. For bath towels, you can hang a wire rack on the wall and roll your towels up to store them in a decorative way. Another creative place to store towels is to attach baskets to the wall, then roll your towel to store them inside.

A great space saver is to hang over the door hooks to allow towels to dry or to hang up clothes. Using wall space is a helpful solution for storing items up and away.

Inside the shower, there are so many products that we use. You can attach shower caddies that will give you many options for all of your beauty items. If less is more, you many enjoy the simplicity of hanging a soap/shampoo dispenser right to your shower wall.
